In another life
I want to be French.

2012
There’s a whole lot of things and people I want to leave behind in 2012.

what is the
major dramatic question of my life?
Why take a class…
unless you’re especially interested in learning something that relates to the subject. I hate— despise MATH and all things RELATED. So when I see an opportunity to take a MATH class I shoot it in the face and move on with my day. Now, what I have done by making that decision is avoided the possibility of having a math professor feel ineffective because I fall asleep in his class and/or do none of the homework.
So kids who hate to read, hate english, think Shakespeare invented books so that for the rest of forever we’d be forced into word-slavery, why take a WRITING class?
I mean, of course, this is not every student, but it’s just so crazy to me that someone would register for a class they know they will hate, simply because it fits into their schedule,
so basically you’re saying that you prefer convenience over happiness and if you were in a relationship with someone who beat you or exhausted you, you’d stick around just because he lived next door and saved you gas money.
CRAZY.
when did people
start thinking there’s an endpoint to learning?
I don’t know everything and so when you teach me something new I have a real life hard-on for you.
However, if you teach me something new and scoff that it’s something new and I didn’t stop learning ages ago, well then you just killed the possibility of a great friendship.
xx
stop thinking it’s a race. it’s not. and if it is, I still look better in my sweats than you ever will.
